When I say love it is not just something that happens between a girl and a boy, It is something which exists between a mom and son, brother and sister, son and dad, between the friends (forget about gender) and finally girl and a boy. Recently I have encountered a situation after that I went into a deep thinking about the role of possessiveness in the love. Let me explain what happened.
I have a cute little cousin(Mani) who is just 2 years old, he always makes lot of noise and eats everybody's brains if he is bored. At that time My Aunt (His Mom) was a pregnant, She gave birth to a baby daughter. We all used to visit the hospital daily. Whoever go to visit her, they used to spend some time with the newly born baby without realizing that they are ignoring Mani.
Until that day everybody used to play with Mani. His Mom used to devote all her time for him. Suddenly there was a dramatic change in his life. He felt so insecure I remember he hugged his mom and cried for long time and certainly he hated his sister for all the obvious reasons. At that moment I didn't understand why he is doing like that I even thought how come a small kid has this amount jealous. But for him only thing he was concerned about is his mom and the love he deserved from her. I observed a strange behavior he used to go and sleep between his Mom and sister, if anybody ask him to move to other place he used to start crying.
When I observe all these things I got scared that how is he going to get along with his sister. But after two months when I went to visit them things are on right track. He started loving his sister the same way he love his mother. When I told him that I will take his sister with me, He literally started a War with me. It is always so cute when I recollect all those incidents, And the beauty of that little possessiveness.

When I said "the beauty of that little possessiveness". I said it consciously little possessiveness is always healthy. If you have someone who feels possessive about you that resembles the his love on you. But if it exceed the level of tolerance it is going to effect the relationships.
